School Council AGM – Update

St Margaret’s School Association AGM

The St Margaret’s School Association held its Annual General Meeting at 7.00 pm on Wednesday 20 May 2026.

The meeting provides the School Council (the School’s board of directors) with an opportunity to report back to School Association members (current School parents and guardians) on the educational and financial position of the School, as well as its strategic directions. At the AGM, association members also vote on membership of Council.

Key Changes to School Council

At the AGM, Ms Natasha Rodrigues was voted on to School Council.

Mrs Fiona Templar also announced her decision to step down as President of School Council. She has served as President since 2019 and has presided over a transformation that brought our two campuses together as one School, saw record enrolments, and ensured that the School is in the best financial position it has enjoyed in its history.

Fiona will continue her association with the School, as she will remain a board member of the School’s Foundation.

We thank Fiona for her time, effort, expertise and stewardship of the School, acknowledging that she leaves the School in an enviable position to plan confidently for future growth, explore new opportunities, and continue providing high-quality educational choices for our rapidly growing and diverse community.

Professor Tim Lindsey AO succeeds Fiona as the new President of School Council. Tim has served on School Council and the School’s Foundation since 2022 and as Chair of the School’s Foundation since 2024.

Tim says he is looking forward to working with Council members, Principal Dr Annette Rome, incoming Principal Simon Shepherd, Chief Operating Officer Scott Feehan, and the wider School community. ‘This is a unique school at a very special moment in its history. Our hundred-year celebrations mark a time of transition when we should honour the legacy of the past but also explore exciting new opportunities ahead for our students, staff and families’.
