Year 10 Marysville Camp

The picturesque hills of Marysville laid the backdrop for the Year 10 Camp this year.

This year the camp was a combination of students from BGS and SMS. The students started at SMS listening to a presentation that focused around optimism and being true to yourself from guest speaker, Mr Greg Mitchell before boarding the buses to Marysville.

Evan during his presentation on the camp at the recent assembly talked about what you personally take away from the camp is the most important thing. The students did mountain biking and hiking to Stevenson’s Falls. It was the community service aspect that stood out with the students repairing the trails for others in the community to use and allow the region to recover from the fires ten years ago through tourism.

The grow it and cook it session was popular with the students baking pizzas and topping them with items that were grown in the garden at the camp.
