Artist in Residence
Last week the Art Department Gallery was taken over by Zhen our Artist in Residence. Zhen is a Melbourne based performance artist who creates artwork through stop-motion and tablet animations. She has performed and created artworks both locally and internationally.
Zhen worked with small groups of students from all three campuses, to complete 5 large-scale charcoal drawings. The students had to work collaboratively and very fast to complete the drawings, which were then photographed and made into stop-motion animations. Zhen was an inspiring teacher and I encourage you to look at her work online.
