BioMed Animation Workshop
Fifteen St Margaret’s girls attended a workshop with Dr Divjak, a leading biomedical scientist and animation artist as part of the ISV Arts Learning Festival. Biomedical animation is increasingly used in medicine to better understand the way molecules behave and interact. The workshop saw students using a 3-D computer graphics and animation program called Maya to visualise and animate a Zika virus model. This workshop was an example of how art and science can be combined.
