City Cite student reflection
During our two weeks on the City Cite program in the City of Melbourne we explored the many things that it has to offer. We visited the Eureka Tower, the Magistrates Court, Fare Share, the graffiti lanes (Union Lane and Hoister Lane), The Shine of Remembrance and learned about Aboriginal Culture in the Botanic Gardens, just to name a few. A highlight was having the opportunity to listen to the Lord Mayor, Mr Robert Doyle, speak about the City of Melbourne. We were able to ask him questions about our group project as well. The project required us to do research as well as interviewing people associated with our topic, surveying the public and analysing a range of articles in the news. After the two weeks of travelling on the train to and from Melbourne, exploring Melbourne and completing our project, the final night was presentation night, where we presented our projects to our parents. This night was great, but also sad, as we had to farewell our fun experiences of City Cite.
