Farewell Miss Elise Ryan
We farewell Miss Elise Ryan who leaves us to commence her Maternity Leave. She has served in the Junior School for 7 years as the Music Teacher and Music Coordinator. Elise started at St Margaret’s Junior School as a new graduate in 2012. She was full of enthusiasm and a great desire to learn and improve. She quickly took on the role of Junior School Music Coordinator, organising the Music at Assemblies, Soirees, JAM festivals, Junior School Concerts and Musicals. She directed the last three Junior School Musicals: ‘Porridge’, ‘Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits’ and ‘The Amazing Adventures of SuperStan’. These were memorable events in the lives of so many Junior School staff, students and their families.
As well as the wonderful classroom music program she teaches for all children from ELC to Year 4, Elise also directs Somers Choir, Year 4 Choir and accompanies and assists with the Junior Choir. The students at the Junior School really love going to Ms Ryan’s music classes, enjoying exciting lessons and activities taught by someone who cares for each child. We are all excited for Elise and her husband, Michael, as they await the birth of their first child, and we look forward to welcoming her back sometime next year.
