Great Science Opportunity for Year 9 and 10 students
The Conocophillips Science Experience is designed for Year 9 and 10 students. It is supported by Rotary and the Australian Science Teachers Association.
Activities run for 3 -4 days during the June or December School holidays at over 36 different universities around Australia. Victorian Universities offering sessions include RMIT (Forensic medicine); Swinburne University (industry and real world applications); Melbourne University (a range of interactive experiences across a number of faculties); Melbourne University: Dookie campus (agricultural research).
All of these activities involved practical experimentation and lectures as well as meeting with scientists and leaders in engineering and technology. This is a fabulous opportunity to experience university life and to meet other, like minded students.
More and more universities are holding interviews with students who have applied for their courses: experiences such as this are viewed very positively.
The cost ranges from $120.00 to $130.00.
