PAT CRONIN FOUNDATION BBQ FUNDRAISER

Students in the senior years at Berwick Grammar School were so moved by the presentation by The Pat Cronin Foundation that they continue to raise money to support the important work the foundation undertakes to educate young people about the Coward Punch.

On Orientation Day, we showed the new class of 2024 what it means to be a leader at Berwick Grammar by arranging a fundraising sausage sizzle to add to funds collected across the semester.

This was the first SRC fundraiser captained by Samuel Chipperfield, who will be heading up the SRC in 2019. Samuel ably managed the barbecue and with the help of several of our new 2019 student leaders kept the hot food coming and no-one was turned away empty handed. This resulted in more than $400 added to our fundraising tally. Many thanks to the boys involved in the cooking of sausages, as well as Mr Lardner and Ms Lewis for their assistance.

In addition, the SRC sponsored free sausages and cans of drink to the class of 2024 to welcome them into the school. This ensured that all 2019 Year 7 boys met a senior boy on the day, and faces they will remember as the school year begins.
