Science extension
Over the last week a group of interested Year 9 -11 students have been using their lunchtimes to study the development of zebra fish. Working with a scientist from Monash University, they have produced eggs and embryos and have studied these as they developed into mature fish. The girls have learned a lot about genetics, embryology and the ethical handling of research animals. We are planning to broaden this opportunity next year; offering it to a number of our Science classes.
