Science in many ways!
On Wednesday 8 June, the Year 6 boys took part in a series of wonderfully entertaining lessons on Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Mr Lardner, Miss Clark and Mr Rodwell prepared and led these fantastic lessons to demonstrate how Science has impacted on humans. This was in line with our fourth Unit of Inquiry for the year on How the World Works. Students enjoyed learning about friction, forces and light with Mr Lardner, how the body works with Miss Clarke and combustion, heat and engines with Mr Rodwell. At the end of the day, the boys reflected on what they had learned and all decided the experiments were worth-while and enriched their knowledge on the Central Idea for this unit: ‘Humans use their knowledge of Science in many ways.’
