SIS Sport Update
Our Berwick Grammar School students finished off Term 3 in fine style on the sporting field.
The intermediate Touch Rugby team went through the season undefeated, securing yet another pennant for this age group.
Our Junior and Intermediate Badminton Teams also advanced through their ‘friendlies’ against St Francis Xavier Officer, with great success with both age groups seeing the grand finals won by BGS pairs.
Two teams of 4 badminton players will now travel to the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre to compete in the Victorian All-Schools Badminton Championship.
Whilst there are no age groups allocated at this tournament, the competition will be fierce against schools such as Geelong Grammar, St Kevin’s College and Melbourne Grammar, it is great for our boys to have the opportunity to compete at such a level and will no doubt be a steep learning curve. In addition to this badminton event Term 4 is our busiest from an SIS Sport perspective, with five teams being entered in the weekly sport competition across sports such as Cricket, Basketball, Tennis, Soccer and Baseball. Hopefully our teams can finish off the year on a winning note and secure some more SIS Pennants for Berwick Grammar School.
