Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge 2018
Friday 7 September saw the closing of the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge (VPRC) for 2018.
Students in Year 7 and 8 had been challenged to read 15 books in an eight month period with an added incentive for the class who accrued the most VPRC points.
Congratulations to the boys in Ms Giorgetta’s Year 7 class and Mr Diston’s Year 8 class who won the competition at Berwick Grammar School.
The most popular books for this year’s students were John Green’s Turtles all the Way Down, Getaway by Jeff Kinney, Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy and Auggie and me: three Wonder stories by R.J. Palacio.
Overall, the students of St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School read 12,025 books, which was a fantastic effort by all.
