Year 6 Canberra Tour

Year 6 students of Berwick Grammar School flew to the nation’s capital to embark on a study tour of Canberra. The boys had the challenging task of inquiring into the connectedness of human made systems and how societal decision making affects us. We saw many attractions and participated in role plays that involved the voting process and question time in parliament.

We were lucky enough to sit in at the High Court and saw all 7 justices presiding over a case. Meeting the Governor General was a huge highlight for the boys and his friendly manner and openness to answer our questions was greatly appreciated. The boys loved learning about Canberra, the government system within Australia and visiting Questacon.
